Stephen is a Senior Project Consultant and shareholder with JRS Engineering. With over two decades in the construction industry, Stephen has provided building envelope consulting services for a wide variety of assessments, investigations, failure analyses, and design development projects. His new construction and rehabilitation project experience encompasses a wide range of building types—from traditional woodframe low-rise and concrete high-rise residential buildings to cutting-edge steel-and-glass commercial, institutional and educational facilities.

Stephen has specialized in-depth expertise with pressure-equalized, exterior insulated rainscreen assemblies integrated with multiple glazing systems, such as window walls, curtain walls and punch windows. Additionally, his extensive practical experience encompasses a broad range of cladding types, including stucco, EIFS, vinyl, fibre-cement, pre-manufactured brick and stone, and metal panel. An associate of the firm, Stephen has managed building envelope remediation and new construction projects for JRS throughout British Columbia and Washington State; to date, he has provided contract administration and field services for projects totaling in the millions of dollars.
