Adam Jarolim

Adam is a building science professional who applies a broad scope of professional consulting knowledge to new construction and building rehabilitation projects. For Adam, client relationships are integral to a successful project. He is motivated by the collaborative environment JRS nurtures, and is a visionary who observes, and appreciates multiple perspectives of a challenge. Adam liaises effectively and amiably between parties to find solutions that maximize profitability and quality, and has supervised many profitable projects with varying complexity levels.

Adam applies his expertise in building science, fenestration systems, fenestration product development, as well as durability and passive house design to a variety of new construction residential and commercial developments. His skills encompass all aspects of building envelope services, from field reviews to drawing reviews, design development, thermal bridging reviews, and contract administration.

Adam’s primary career focus is on progressing the construction industry towards energy efficient projects that lessen environmental footprints while maintaining sound economics. Efficient building envelope design and construction plays a major role in the progress towards the Canadian 2030 goal of net zero energy ready construction. In advance of the industry wide transition towards net zero energy construction, Adam has developed a strong skill set related to designing high efficiency building envelope systems, including: calculating and minimizing thermal bridging; design and evaluation of high performing fenestration systems; as well as evaluating the economic benefits of energy efficiency improvements.
