The Rendezvous

JRS Engineering was retained to provide building envelope consulting services for a rehabilitation of The Rendezvous, the primary food and beverage ski lodge restaurant in Whistler Blackcomb. This restaurant is a two-level wood frame gathering space that features scenery of the Coast Mountains from every window and two large decks.

The renovation of the facility included enclosing the southeast corner of the main level, adding vestibules at the two entrances, replacing the existing cladding with new rainscreen fibre cement panels, replacing some existing windows, and installing a new SBS modified bitumen cap sheet over the existing low slope roof membrane.
