The Lift Restaurant
Vancouver, British Columbia
The Lift restaurant features an expansive roof deck and continuous sliding bi-fold doors overlooking the water on the shores of Vancouver’s West End. The unique curved roof consists of interlocking metal panels over a 2-ply modified bituminous membrane. Wall assemblies are a combination of metal panel, concrete, and exterior insulation with open wood lath cladding. Extensive roof decks are covered with Brazilian hardwood, rigid insulation, and a torch-applied SBS 2-ply membrane, all surrounded by structural glass rails.
JRS provided building envelope consulting services for construction including design review, shop drawing review, field services, and site testing.
