Millennium ‘Evergreen’ Line

Metro Vancouver, BC

JRS Engineering  was retained to provide thermal modelling services to confirm the compliance requirements for the above grade mass wall assemblies of the Coqitlam Station’s Millennium Evergreen Line, a new rapid transit line serving the communities of Burnaby, Coquitlam, and Port Moody. The Coquitlam Station is an above grade concrete building with mechanical ventilation and heating for interior space.

JRS also undertook a thermal analysis of the concrete walls, roof, and floor at Coquitlam Station to determine the measures required to meet local energy standards. JRS services also included a below-grade waterproofing review for the Inlet Station pushed tunnel and plaza decks. A cold-spray applied below-grade membrane was applied to the concrete structure and we conducted field reviews to examine the existing condition and membrane application.
