JRS Announces Corporate Expansion in Victoria, BC
JRS is thrilled to announce the opening of our Victoria office, led by Adam Jarolim, Senior Project Engineer, Building Science, and Associate with JRS. This expansion reflects our dedication to delivering exceptional service and value to our clients and marks a significant milestone in our continued growth.
For years, JRS has worked closely with developers, architects, property managers, and owners on projects throughout Vancouver Island—quietly influencing neighbourhoods across the region. Our portfolio of outstanding island projects includes the Atrium in Victoria, Belmont in Langford, English Inn in Esquimalt, Wadams Farm in Sooke, and many more. Building on our existing foundation, our Victoria office will serve as the central hub of our island operations. This will enable us to better support our island-based stakeholders through greater accessibility and dedicated local expertise that draws from a depth of industry knowledge and leadership established through our existing Vancouver and Calgary offices.
“This is an exciting next step for JRS,” shares Joel Schwartz, President and Principal, Building Science at JRS. “By planting firm roots in the Victoria community, we aim to strengthen our existing partnerships while fostering new relationships. The expansion also provides new opportunities for our people to advance their careers—collectively contributing to a dynamic where everyone can succeed together.”
Led by Adam Jarolim, our Victoria office delivers the full range of JRS services, tailored to address the region’s unique environmental challenges and meet our clients’ objectives. Adam is a senior member of our project delivery team and brings approximately 15 years of industry experience, with over 10 years at JRS, working on high-performance, energy-efficient buildings. In 2021, Adam relocated with his family from Vancouver to Victoria and has focused on setting a new standard of technical excellence within the region. Collaborating with our partners, Adam has contributed his expertise to a variety of complex projects, incorporating resilient materials and envelope systems and assemblies to help develop buildings that are code-compliant, durable, and emphasize long-term performance. Adam’s extensive experience, coupled with his deep understanding of the local conditions, positions our Victoria team to deliver solutions that are not only effective but are also sustainable and forward-thinking.
“Victoria is my home, and to be able to help shape the future of its built environment is an incredible opportunity,” says Adam. “I’m excited to continue the work we have been doing here and help our clients navigate new challenges.”
The opening of our Victoria office is grounded in our Core Values—reflecting our commitment to Excellence, People, Integrity, Quality, and Success. We are proud of the projects we work on and the people we work with, and we look forward to advancing our Mission within the region.
