University of Washington Population Health
This is a 290,000 square-foot multi-million-dollar building at the University of Washington’s Seattle campus. Its goal is to create a new type of “Universal University Building” with flexible tenant space.
The project employs an integrated design-build approach and has highly aspirational performance sustainability, health, wellness, and aesthetic targets. The building enclosure has a façade of high-performance unitized curtain wall and rainscreen cladding, along with green roofs and intensive landscaping. The project targets LEED Gold and WELL certification.
The campus will use the experience developing this building as a model for development moving forward.
