The Eleanor is a 7-story, 260-unit apartment complex that includes 2 buildings. Named for its location in the Roosevelt neighborhood and to honor the former U.S. first lady, it is conveniently located blocks away from a light rail station.
Features include rainwater collection on the roof, a grassy courtyard, rooftop terraces with views of downtown and Mount Rainier, and a boardwalk with fountains and swales. It achieved LEED Silver certification and was awarded NAIOP Washington’s Multi-Family Development of the Year (2017).
JRS provided building envelope consulting services throughout design and construction. Tasks included schematic design and design development, production of construction documents, bidding evaluation, review of shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs, and performing field reviews and continuous air barrier testing.
