Block 11 is a 7-story, 384-unit mixed-use development that covers a full block in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. The building has 5 stories of wood-framed construction above 2 stories of concrete construction, and 2 levels of below-grade parking. An extensively landscaped podium level deck includes a large water feature. Several upper and lower level roofs are landscaped, including a dramatic sloped green roof.
The project’s design incorporates high sustainability goals and targets LEED® Platinum certification.
JRS provided full building envelope design, as part of close collaboration with the Architect and Contractor. Our responsibilities during construction include construction administration, window and air barrier testing, and façade engineering.
