Located at the base of Queen Anne hill, this former hotel was converted into resident-managed transitional housing for homeless adults. The building has 4 stories and 46 residential units. Tenant amenities include a kitchen, storage, central laundry. Each floor includes staff offices and maintenance rooms.
As the building envelope consultant for renovation of the exterior envelope, JRS was responsible for overcladding existing siding with a new weather barrier, and for rainscreen furring and fiber cement siding. Replacement of windows and roofing membrane was also completed.
The project also included upgrading safety features, plumbing, mechanical systems, and unit fixtures and finishes.
