JRS Engineering Fenestration Consulting
“Challenging” and “interesting” are two words that can be used to describe this project.
Two other words are “rewarding” and “exciting”. What is this project you ask? Simply put, it is working with a company developing a new window wall system. This may sound simple and straightforward, but it is not. This meant working very closely with the client to thoroughly understand their goals, while identifying all the current and future requirements that this system would have to meet. Not just technical requirements, but aesthetics, constructability, cost, logistics, and more. And, not just for one geographic market or for today, but for use across North America, today and tomorrow!
Identifying the requirements was only the beginning – solving them was where “challenging” and “interesting” fit in. Working hand-in-hand with the client, the JRS team led by Joel Schwartz P.Eng, BEP, FEC and Adam Jarolim M.Eng, P.Eng, CPHD proposed, sketched, analyzed, modelled, researched, tested and traveled overseas multiple times until everyone was satisfied with the results – a new window wall system which not only meets or exceeds current industry standards but is well positioned to meet the foreseeable future performance requirements. This is where “rewarding” and “exciting” come into play!
If you would like to be involved in this type of work, other challenging and rewarding projects like it, and work closely with experts in their field, then it sounds like JRS Engineering would be a great place for you!
