Wesley Narciso

M.Eng, P.Eng, FEC, CRP, PRA, Principal

Wesley is a Senior Project Engineer, Division Manager and shareholder with JRS Engineering in Vancouver where he oversees the office’s Existing Building, Depreciation Reports and Maintenance and Warranty work.

For approximately 16 years, Wesley has been providing engineering consulting services in Canada and the United States. This includes 5 years in materials testing and failure analysis and 11 years in building envelope consulting, consisting of over 400 building condition, testing and failure analysis reports. His experience includes design, project management, financial analysis/capital asset planning, litigation support, expert witness testimony and warranty dispute resolution, for a variety of projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Wesley has extensive understanding of a broad spectrum of building types with a unique expertise in material testing, metallurgical engineering and corrosion. His materials testing and consulting experience is valuable for project quality assurance, and his engineering expertise in corrosion has been beneficial for structural assessments, piping reviews and fastener failure investigations. He has an undergraduate degree in Materials Engineering at The University of British Columbia and is currently completing his Masters Degree in Building Science at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Wesley was the first Professional Engineer in BC to obtain his CRP (Certified Reserve Planner) designation through the REIC (Real Estate Institute of Canada) and the only P.Eng. in North America to also be a PRA (Professional Reserve Analyst) with the APRA (Association of Professional Reserve Analysts). He maintains current technical knowledge through active participation in the building science industry by attending, organizing, and presenting at various industry conferences, seminars, and courses (APEGBC, BCBEC, BCIT, APRA, PAMA, BOMA, CHBA), by publishing articles in industry related magazines and journals (CHOA, BCREC) and serving on industry related committees (ASTM, REIC, IREM).
Wesley is an official Mentor with APEGBC and, in 2012, was awarded Mentor of the Year and was the recipient of ABEGBC’s 2014 Young Professional Award.
