JRS Engineering Ltd. has undertaken numerous highly successful building envelope remediation projects, both large and small, and has developed a proven scope of services consistent with guidelines established by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. (APEGBC) to meet all demands of such a project. Our work frequently includes the following:
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
This phase regularly involves meetings and discussions with an ownership group aimed at developing a better understanding of all the issues and finalizing a repair program. Of note, are the architectural services which we commonly provide on many projects through R.J. Feldstein Architect, aimed at adding value for the owners. It is this type of commitment to developing a relationship with the client and developing an appreciation of their concerns, as well as exploring and analyzing all options which has set JRS apart from other consultants.
CONSTRUCTION / REPAIR DOCUMENTS
Building on the work just complete in the previous phase, we take the finalized program and implement it in one of the industry's most comprehensive and thorough document packages consisting of specifications, drawings and details. There is nothing left to chance or "to be figured out later" as our package covers all aspects of the project and is up-to-date, including all of our company's extensive experience and any recent developments in the industry
TENDERING
With complete Documents, owners can assured they will obtain the most accurate and complete pricing possible. The method of project delivery may include a stipulated price contract tendered by General Contractors, or working with a Construction Manager and subtrades with a construction management contract.
FIELD SERVICES
Frequent and rigorous site visits, diligent contract administration, site testing and regular team meetings are part of the commitment we make to every project to help ensure everything runs smoothly during the actual repair. This however, is only part of the success of our projects. The positive working relationship we have with all parties in the process is the other part.
CLOSEOUT
We know that when the work is over, the project is not yet finished. Our services include preparing an "as-built" set of construction / repair documents, a final "project completion" letter concisely explaining the project for owners selling, or potential buyers, and a maintenance manual to help preserve and increase the value of the project.
